How we handle your data

This notice covers the Strata website, run by BananaCloud LLC. In short: we keep your email only if you send it to us, we count visits without identifying anyone, and we do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

What we collect

When you send the early-access form

Your email address.
Whether you want the waitlist or a hands-on pilot.
Optionally, whether your documents currently support an AI assistant, and a short description of the knowledge you want checked.
The page you sent it from, and the time.

Please do not put confidential information, or personal data about other people, in the description. The form does not accept uploads.

When you browse the site

We count which pages and sections are viewed, which buttons are clicked, and whether the form was started or sent, never what was typed into it. On your first page view in a browser tab we also note whether the screen is a phone, tablet or desktop, the website that linked you here, and any campaign tags in the link, such as utm_source.

These counts are joined only by a random code kept in that browser tab's temporary storage. It is not a cookie, it disappears when the tab closes, and we cannot connect it to you, to your email, or to another visit.

What we do not collect

No cookies.
No IP addresses, browser identifiers or device fingerprints in our database.
No advertising or third-party analytics. The site loads its scripts and fonts only from its own servers.

Like any website, the servers and network that deliver this page handle technical details such as your IP address in order to respond to you. Our application does not store them.

How we use it

To reply to your request and, for a pilot, to agree a small document sample with you.
To send availability updates if you joined the waitlist.
To learn which parts of the site are useful, using only the anonymous counts above.
To keep the site working and to block abuse, for example by limiting how many submissions the form accepts.

Who can see it

Only people at BananaCloud LLC. The site and its database are hosted by Civo, a cloud provider, in New York, United States. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or hand it to analytics companies. We may disclose it if the law requires. If we add another service that handles your data, such as an email tool, we will name it here first.

How long we keep it

Early-access requests: until you ask us to delete them.
Anonymous usage counts: deleted automatically after 180 days.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS. The database is not exposed to the internet: from outside, the form can add a request but nothing can read one back. No system is perfectly secure, so share only what you are comfortable sending.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, contact us at the address below. We will act on it and reply to confirm.
To stop updates, reply “stop” to any email from us.
To stop the usage counts, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser and the site sends nothing at all. Or add ?notrack=1 to the end of any page address to switch counting off in that browser; ?notrack=0 turns it back on.

Children

The site is meant for people using it for work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this notice

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
